Hi Dave,
When my wife was pregnant about 6 years ago, we thought we needed to give up our travel lifestyle and settle down so we moved back to the suburbs in my home city. It lasted about a year.
We value the experiences we have around the world too much to settle down.
We regularly go through mental exercises of what we might need to improve our lives.
Is it a bigger house?
A car?
An espresso machine?
A new stereo?
More stability and routine?
We always arrive at the same conclusion. All of those things that we might buy would limit our freedom, reduce the quality of experiences we have, and ultimately diminish the quality of our lives.
